According to a forum post, the wonderful new song by Sheryl Nome before Bobby brings it to a screeching anticlimactic halt in episode 22 of Macross F is called Yousei. I am partial to Ranka, both as a character and singer. However this new song by Sheryl is impressive, and catchy. Her best songs are pop, with catchy hooks and addicting tempos. Her voice goes well either with those, or slow serenades like Diamond Crevasse, the uptempoed version in episode 20 being the best. Now as for a disaster, well avoid listening to her version of "What 'bout my star?". What about it? It's god damn horrible. In that song she sounds like a wicked auntie speaking horrible engrish intentionally in your ear to annoy and awaken you. Holy crap these sentences are long. I need to sleep.

Macross F OST 2 will be out on 10/8. I hope Yousei will be played in its entirety during the next episode. However the next episode is titled "True Begin", and thus will probably have that song instead.
